Spring Valley High School ROTC Cadet Of The Month - April

Sherlyn Sanchez, a 10th-grade student at Spring Valley High School, has been named the ROTC Cadet of the Month for April 2023. Sherlyn dreams of becoming an F-35 pilot, and has already gained some flying experience through simulators and a flight in a C-172.

As part of her award, Rick Mantei took Sherlyn and her mother out on a flight, where she even got the chance to fly the plane herself. Sherlyn is part of the top-ranked ROTC unit in South Carolina and continues to pursue her passion for aviation.
